 During a disaster emergency such as a fire or earthquake, elevators can't be used. It's the law. This means that people with disabilities, and anyone who cannot use stairs, may be trapped by the elevators that gave them access to upper stories.
The Evacu-Trac can provide a way out, a means of emergency egress. This "Lifeline to Safety" enables an attendant to quickly, safely and easily evacuate a disabled or injured individual.
The Evacu-Trac has been engineered and rigorously tested to meet the stringent demands of emergency evacuation - make it part of your evacuation plan.
The Evacu-Trac is designed so the passenger's weight propels it down the stairs, while a governor limits the maximum descent speed.
On the stairs, the Evacu-Trac can be brought to a complete stop by releasing the hand brake. The low center of gravity and long tracks make it completely stable and self supporting.
Quick and easy to set up, the Evacu-Trac can carry passengers of up to 163kg (360lbs), and has been laboratory tested at 1.5 times this capacity.
The sling-seat design and open sides makes it easy for most passengers to slide into Evacu-Trac, no matter what their physical size.
Applications include office buildings, medical facilities and senior housing.
